More Information:
The NEB board had its meeting on Monday (27 Baisakh, 2078 BS). The officials conducted the meeting to discuss the modality of the upcoming board examinations. The meeting concluded with two major decisions:
- The board examinations of class 10 (which was scheduled for Jestha 13) and class 12 (which was scheduled for Jestha 26) have been postponed until further notice.
- A five membered committee has been formed to find a way to conduct the examinations smoothly in near future.
Few weeks earlier, the Tribhuvan University (TU) had also postponed all of its ongoing and scheduled examinations until further notice from Baisakh 14. The Covid-19 Crisis Management Committee (CCMC) and the GON have been advising all bodies to prevent mass gathering in order to control the ongoing Coronavirus infection, which seems to spread rapidly leading to near-about 10,000 daily cases. Also, it won't be good enough to conduct examinations in a condition where more than 50% of total districts of NEPAL have been following strict lockdown.
